Day1

Cusco - Machu Picchu - Cusco

Early in the morning we will pick you up from your hotel in the historic centre of Cusco to start our journey by road to Ollantaytambo. It will take an hour and 40 minutes from Cusco to Ollantaytambo. You will be boarding a train to Aguas Calientes at 0640 AM. Once in Aguas Calientes, our guide would meet you at the train station and will escort you to the bus station from where you will be boarding a bus to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Upon reaching the Machu Picchu citadel, you will have to go through the security control where a guard would verify your name on the ticket against your passport before letting you in. You will have a complete guided tour of the Incan citadel for two hours where our guide would walk you through the main square, temple of the 3 windows, house of the guards, the circular tower and the solar clock monument. You will then have some time to walk around on your own. After the tour, you will be boarding a bus back to Aguas Calientes where you can stop for lunch or walk around this tiny little town. At a designated time you will be boarding the train back to Ollantaytambo where our representative will meet you upon arrival and organise your transfer back to your hotel in Cusco.
